I watched Ratatouille with my friend at last Wednesday. We rented this DVD from near our friend’s house. I like this movie very much and this time was my second time to watch this movie. This movie moved me and makes me happy every time.
Just I will write about the story of this movie Ratatouille. But before I do that, I will explain why the title is different in the Japanese version and in the English version. The Japanese title is ‘Remy no oishii restaurant’. If translate that from in Japanese to in English this title, I think it would be “Remy’s delicious restaurant”. But in fact the in English title is “Ratatouille”. When I knew this title I was surprised and I had a question. Why the different title? But I could understand after I finished watching this movie.
This movie’s characters are very funny. The main character is Remy. He is a cute rat. But not a normal rat. He has an outstanding sense of smell and wonderful sense of taste. When he eats some food, he feels the rhythm and color of the food. It’s a very great ability. Also he is a very kind to his family, friends, and Linguini.
Linguini who is a young man and who is at first hired as a kitchen cleaner, soon becomes a nice chef. Remy and Linguini, their tie is very strong and deep. They work hand in hand with. It was great. Also in this movie appears a spiteful parson. But their never lost hope.
This movie taught us many things. Of course this is a very funny movie. For example I knew about the friendship of Remy and Linguini, about people and the wonderful city of Paris. It was so beautiful. I want to go there. I had again. And I want to eat French food. Many foods of this movie are very real. For example cheese, soup, bread, ratatouille and so on. Many foods made me hungry.
Especially Ratatouille is my favorite. It is such beautiful dish.
This movie’s has a happy and ending. This is the most favorite finish. Now I think that I want to watch this movie’s 2!!
